Life has been good for Lisa this year so far, and the country starlet isn’t showing any signs of slowing down her career, with lots coming up on her summer schedule, including the release of her next album! This Friday, the gorgeous Glaswegian will release the first single from the forthcoming album, ‘Mean’.
Lisa is often known as the ‘Young Queen of Country’, but this young idol is much more than just a voice. She has captured the hearts of the nation over the years with her bubbly personality and caring nature, especially since the airing of her TV show, ‘On The Road With Lisa’.
Lisa is very close to her fans, and often goes out of her way to meet the people who have helped her career soar. The ‘Female Artist of the Year’, has covered the Taylor Swift hit, ‘Mean’, and with a strong anti-bullying message in the lyrics, Lisa has found it appropriate to donate all proceeds from the single to PIPS Charity.
PIPS provide support to individuals who are considering, or who have at some point considered, ending their own lives. PIPS support families who have lost someone to suicide. The charity has a small team of paid staff and volunteers supporting those in need, by providing clients with immediate support, such as counselling services and support groups.
Last night, Lisa visited PIPS charity to put on a small show by performing her new single. She was also able to speak to some fans and hear from the people she would be helping with her contribution.
“It’s so sad to hear the stories from the people at PIPS. It means so much to me that I am in a position to be able to help out the charity and all of the fantastic work that they do” said Lisa. “Suicide awareness is something so important today, especially among young people, and PIPS is a fantastic, locally-run charity which helps people suffering, on our doorsteps”.
The single is now on release and available to download via iTunes.
